The Alberta flag is a bold emblem that captures the province’s natural beauty, rich history, and cultural heritage. Below the cross, the Rocky Mountains rise, snow-capped and majestic, representing Alberta’s western terrain. These mountains transition into rolling green foothills, which then open up to fertile prairies and golden wheat fields, a tribute to the province’s agricultural strength. Officially adopted in 1968, the Alberta flag is a proud symbol that embodies the diversity, resilience, and unity of its people and land.
